What opportunities are there to leverage on?

Having reflected on internal factors that become your strengths and advantages, we could turn our focus to the external world. What opportunities would there be so that you could leverage and achieve your goals?

What changes are there likely to be in your organization? Are there any changes in people and organization structure? How about the business direction and market performance? What about technological shift? How would the shift to virtual communication this year impact you way of working?

It would be useful to start with the team you are working in, then gradually expand the scope - to the projects you are working on, your department, the market, region, or the entire company.

What about changes in your personal life and social network? How did your habits and behaviors change in the recent few months? What about changes amongst your social network? Any friend who experienced changes recently, maybe a career move, explored a new hobby, posted something new on social network? How could you benefit from these changes?

All these changes suggested above might be impacting your life in 2021 in a positive way. These might become useful drivers or support that you could leverage on when moving into the new year. How could you leverage these to your advantage? How do your strengths play a role here?

Again, no one has a crystal ball to predict what's going to happen, yet with proper preparation, you would know what to do more shiftly when the occasion arises.
