What happened in each phase of your 2020?

Welcome to the 2nd question of our 20 questions to close 2020. In the previous blog post, we reflected on how you would put your 2020 into phases. Let’s zoom in a bit into each phase.

What happened in each phase of your 2020?

Estimated time required: 20 min

Think of what happened in each of the phases you defined. What were the major incidents in that phase? Who were involved?

How did these incidents impact your life in the other phases or the entire 2020?

One of the common pitfalls when conducting such exercise is that we only focus on certain aspects, such as career, of our life.

However, let’s think more holistically and consider all aspects of our life. Our work life and personal life are never truly separate - major event in one aspect must impact the other. This article provides some very good reasons why we should do so, if you are interested to dig deeper.

Take your time when going through the key incidents of each phase in 2020. Consider both your work and personal life, and other aspects of your life if there’s any. Try to observe how different aspects influence each other.

Did you spot any interesting linkages?

How do you feel going through each phase? Capture your emotions going through this exercise, this would be useful bringing it forward to the next question.
