How did great things happen to you?

Welcome back to the 20 questions to close 2020 series. In this blog post we will build on the peak moment of your 2020 discussed in our previous article.

How did it happen?

Estimated time required: 20 min

Shift your focus to the period before the moment you defined as the peak of your 2020. It could be a week, a month or even a quarter before that, so long as you see the connection.

It is useful to open your calendar when doing so, it could help refresh your memory on what incidents happen, so you could focus your mental energy on in-depth reflections.

What happened before your peak? What incidents and people were there that enabled your peak? Such incidents and people could often be considered as enablers which allows you access to additional physical and emotional resources that are vital for you to move on.

Enablers don’t simply fall from the sky. How did you secure enablers? What actions did you take to enrol support and prepare for the success at the peak moments?

What did you do right that led to your achievements, and how could you do it again?

Allow me to share some personal notes here. For some people (that includes myself), we tend to credit luck, other people’s goodwill or any other external factors when good things happen. When you go through what happened earlier this year, try to give yourself the credit. Try to see what actions you took that allowed great things happen. You deserve a bit of recognition for what you did!
